RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT
HOUSTON STREET 300,000 GALLON ELEVATED TANK PAINTING
(HOUSTON STREET AT SCHULTZ STREET)
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont requires that the Houston Street 300,000 Gallon Elevated Tank
Painting project be completed; and
WHEREAS, the Village seeks to utilize the construction firm of Am -Coat, Inc. for such work; and
WHEREAS, Am -Coat, Inc. submitted a low bid for such work in the amount of $144,680.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees that the Contract with
Am -Coat, Inc. is hereby approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF
LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DuPAGE, ILLINOIS, on this 28th day of February, 2011.

Listed below and on the attached "Bid Tabulation ", please find the results of the February 8, 2011, bid
opening for the above - captioned project. Six (6) bids were received and tabulated, with no errors
being found. A summary is as follows:
Am -Coat Painting, Inc. $ 144,680.00
Tecorp, Inc. 154,000.00
Bill's Painting Co. 170,100.00
Era Valdivia Contractors 192,000.00
Jetco, Ltd. 261,000.00
Maxcor, Inc. 322,800.00
Engineer's Estimate $ 185,000.00
The low bid submitted by Am -Coat Painting, in the amount of $144,680.00, is $40,320.00 (21.79 %)
below the Engineer's Estimate of $185,000.00. This price includes the painting of two (2) standard
type logos; one on each side of the tank. (Logo style to be determined by the Village Board.) Am-
Coat Painting has performed work on other tank painting projects under the supervision of our
office, and their work was found to be satisfactory. We, therefore, recommend that the Contract be
awarded to Am -Coat Painting, Inc., 17201 S. Parker Road, Homer Glen, IL. 60491, in the amount
of $144,680.00.
