A Resolution Authorizing the Village Administrator to Execute a Purchase Agreement for
Ten Starcom 21 Inoperability Portable Radios
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont applied for and received a federal non - matching
grant for $54,576; and,
WHEREAS, the purpose of the grant is to facilitate the acquisition of advance
communication equipment to allow for easy communications across a variety of agencies; and,
WHEREAS, said grant facilitates the acquisition of ten radios and accessory; and,
WHEREAS, the Village solicited three bids with Motorola Solutions have the lowest
qualified bid.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Lemont as follows:
SECTION ONE: The Village Board finds that it is necessary, convenient and in the
interest of the Village to purchase ten Starcom 21 Portable Radios.
SECTION TWO: The Village Administrator is hereby authorized to execute said
agreement.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DUPAGE, ILLINOIS
on this 10th day of June, 2013.
