RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT
FOR THE 2013 MFT RESURFACING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont requires that the 2013 MFT Resurfacing Program be
completed; and
WHEREAS, the Village seeks to utilize the construction firm of K -Five Construction Corp. for
such work; and
WHEREAS K -five Construction Corp. submitted a low bid for such work in the amount of
$517,865.85;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees that the Contract
K -Five Construction Corp. is hereby approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT,
COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DuPAGE, ILLINOIS, on this 13`" day of May, 2013.

Listed below and on the attached "Bid Tabulation ", please find the results of the
April 16, 2013 bid opening for the above - captioned project. Two (b) bids were
received and tabulated, with no errors being found. A summary is as follows:
K -Five Construction Company ................... $ 517,865.85
James D. Fiala Paving Company ................... 556,331.45
Engineer's Estimate ...... ............................... $ 749,791.00
The low bid submitted by K -Five Construction Company, in the amount of
$571,865.85, is $213,925.15 (30.93 %) below the Engineer's Estimate of
$749,791.00. K -Five Construction Company is prequalified by IDOT to perform
this type of work, and has worked in the Village previously. We, therefore,
recommend that the Contract be awarded to K -Five Construction Company,
13769 Main Street, Lemont, IL 60439, in the amount of $571,865.85.
