R-147-85 Resolution Authorizing Block Grant Program• •
RESOLUTION #147
WHEREAS, Cook County has been designated as an "Urban County"
by the Department of Housing and Urban Development under the pro-
visions of the Housing and Community Development Acts of 1974 and
1977 (hereinafter referred to as the "Acts "), and the County will
receive an entitlement of funds during the period of October 1,
1985 and September 30, 1986, pursuant to said. Acts; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Lemont that the Village elect to parti-
cipate in the County's Community Development Block Grant Program
and request above mentioned funds for:
1) Residential Rehabilitation and Housing Related Activities -
Single family rehabilitation
2) Residential Rehabilitation and Housing Related Activities -
Code Enforcement
3) Capital Improvement - Street Resurfacing
4) Commercial Area Redevelopment - Downtown Sidewalk Replacement
5) Commercial Area Redevelopment - Commercial Rehabilitation
6) Commercial Area Redevelopment - Downtown Landscaping and
Street Furniture
7) Capital Improvement - Historic Preservation
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the President, Clerk, Village
Attorney, and Village Administrator are authorized to sign the
agreements and any other applications or documentations in order
to participate in said development grants.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Lemont, Illinois, this i/ga day of
