RESOLUTION # /57
WHEREAS, Cook County has been designated as an "Urban County"
by the Department of Housing and Urban Development under the provi-
sions of the Housing and Community Development Acts of 1974 and 1977
(hereinafter referred to as the "Acts ") and the County will receive
an entitlement of funds during the period of October 1, 1987, and
September 30, 1988, pursuant to said Acts; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont is eligible to apply to receive
Community Development funds to assist low- and - moderate income persons
within the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Lemont, that the Village elect to participate
in the County's Community Development Block Grant Program and request
funds for:
1. Capital Improvement - Street. Resurfacing $100,000.00
2. Economic Development- Infrastructure
Improvements $500,000.00
3. Single Family Residential Rehab $ 45,000.00
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village President, Village Clerk,
Village Attorney, and Village Administrator are authorized to sign
the agreements and any other applications or documentations in order
to participate in said development grants.
