R-169-89 Resolution Approving Intergovernmental TransferIlh
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont has entered into
an agreement on October 1, 1988, with Cook County to
receive $115,000 in Community Development Funds for
the resurfacing of Peiffer Street, from State Street
to Eureka Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont will also utilize
Motor Fuel Tax Funds to resurface Peiffer Street, from
State Street to Eureka Avenue, and Hillview Drive, from
127th Street to Freehauf Street; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont has asked for
bids of said improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the President
and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont that
the Street Resurfacing Project be awarded to Harry W.
Kuhn, Inc. in the amount of $253,797 and that the President
and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the contract
documents.

RESOLUTION APPROVING
INTERGOVERNMENTAL TRANSFER
WHEREAS, the Commuter Rail Division of the Regional Transportation Authority,
a division of a municipal corporation has been organized for the purpose of owning,
operating and maintaining a public transportation system in the State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the corporate authorities of the Village of Lemont desire to sell certain
property hereinafter described to the Commuter Rail Division of the Regional
Transportation Authority, a division of a municipal corporation pursuant to the authority
conferred by Illinois Revised Statutes Chapter 30 Paragraph 156 - 158(a).
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Lemont as follows:
SECTION 1: In consideration for the receipt of $185,000.00, paid to the Village of
Lemont the President and Clerk of the Village of Lemont be and are hereby authorized to
attest a Deed and any other documents necessary to transfer title to the Commuter Rail
Division of the Regional Transportation Authority for the following described property:
That part of Block 2 in the Village of Lemont in the East 1/2 of the
Southwest 1/4 of Section 20, Township 37 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, lying North of the Railroad right of way in Cook County,
Illinois.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, and by favorable vote of two- thirds of the corporate authorities, and approved in
the manner provided by law.
