DEPT -01 RECORDING $14.29 A RESOLUTION OF OBJECTION PO TRON €. €419 09/24/91 11_:49:0 €0 COUNTY ZONING BOARD OF APPEAL �U�€� p''��{{ C * —,9,�gg1- 493983 REGARDING A REQUEST BY MORRIS EXCAV.E IT1° FOR A SPECIAL USE FOR A UNIQUE USE WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont is a zoned municipality with limits near to the property which is the subject matter of a request for a Special Use for a Unique Use in the cause known as Docket Number 5595 before the Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals, said property being described as follows: ate" 3 ,2 z •A Sr Tle wes t 2 o eas`,: p h e southwes t 4 o e northeast ; of she northeast a of sec 32 Township 3T north, range 1-1 east of the 3rd p.m. (2.53 acres) WHEREAS, the entire boundary of the subject property is within one and one -half miles of the corporate limits of the Village of Lemont; and WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Lemont provides that the subject property shall be utilized and developed as single - family lots; and WHEREAS, the existing excavating business which is the subject matter of the proceedings pending before the County of Cook as Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals Docket No. 5595, would adversely affect Lemont's planned primary commercial office corridor; and WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Lemont calls for the primary commercial office corridor to have stringent development standards to create an atmosphere of high quality retail and office development; and WHEREAS, the existing excavating business is incompatible with Lemont's planned commercial office corridor and if allowed to remain would delay and discourage such future development; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Lemont, Counties of Cook, DuPage CJD and Will, State of Illinois, that: Ma' 1. The Corporate Authorities find that the statements in the Preamble to this Resolution are true. 2. The Corporate Authorities hereby find that the proposed use of the property above described in unincorporated Cook County as an excavating business would be contrary to the Comprehensive Plan of the Village of Lemont. VILLAGE OF LEMON, 418 Main Steet Lemont, Illinois 60439 9 3. That the Village of Lemont hereby objects in writing to the proposed Special Use. This Fesolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law. This Resolution shall be published in pamphlet form. The Village Clerk shall file a certified copy of this Resolution with the County Clerk of the County of Cook and with the Zoning Board of Appeals of Cook County.
