RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION
IN STATE GOVERNMENTAL PURCHASING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, The Illinois General Assembly passed an Act authorizing
certain governmental units to purchase personal property and supplies
jointly; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont seeks to participate in this
joint purchasing program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board
of Trustees that the Village of Lemont does hereby agree to enter
into a joint governmental purchasing program with the State of
Illinois for the term of the present Village Board.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Village Administrator is
hereby authorized and directed to execute all necessary forms,
applications, requisitions and other documents relating to this
program.

OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COOK, WILL AND DUPAGE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS,

The following items are under multiple award contracts which means that awards are made for all brands of equipment
that are bid. As between competing brands (e.g., IBM vs. Xerox photocopiers), no attempt is made to select one brand
on the basis of price and eliminate other brands from consideration. If, however, more than one vendor submits a bid
for the same brand (ex. Royal typewriters), the vendor offering the lowest price for that brand would be awarded a
contract. Because this multiple award process may not result in award to the low bidder, resulting contracts might not
qualify for Joint Purchase use. While the vendors have agreed to extend the prices to Joint Purchase participants, you
should verify that ordering from such contracts will meet your own procurement/bidding requirements.
