RESOLUTION REQUESTING A VARIANCE TO VILLAGE OF LEMONT DESIGN
STANDARDS AND APPROVAL OF ALTERNATE STORMWATER PLAN
(Chestnut Crossing Subdivision)
WHEREAS, the developer of Chestnut Crossing Subdivision is seeking to revise the
original stormwater plan for the project as a result of involvement by the U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers; and
WHEREAS, this proposed alternative plan is based on increasing the depth of the
existing pond along Archer Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the original design of the stormwater facility included a variation to the
Village engineering standards to allow an increase in the depth of the pond in order to
protect the ravine conservation area to the north of the pond; and
WHEREAS, Rob Davis of Strand Associates indicates in a review letter that the plan
proposed would allow the pond to function as originally designed.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Lemont that the President and the Clerk be and are hereby directed to
approve the requested variation and allow the additional 1' increase in pond depth.
