RESOLUTION APPROVING FUNDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF
ARCHER AVENUE AT 127TH STREET
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont has entered into an agreement with the State of
Illinois for the improvement of Route 171 (Archer Avenue), FAP Route 577, known
as State Section: 3114N, Village Section: at 127th Street; and
WHEREAS, in compliance with the aforementioned agreement, it is necessary for
the Village to appropriate sufficient funds to pay its share of the cost for said
improvement; and
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the improvement of Illinois Route 171 known as
Archer Avenue, State Section 3114N, the Village of Lemont hereby approves the
plans and specifications for the proposed construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that there is hereby appropriated the
sum of $9,775, or so much thereof as may be necessary, from any money now or
hereafter allotted to the Village to pay its share of the cost of this improvement as
provided in the agreement; and
BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon award of the contract for this
improvement, the Village will pay to the Department of Transportation of the State
of Illinois, in a lump sum from any funds allotted to the Village, an amount equal to
95% if its obligation incurred under this agreement, and will pay to said
Department the remainder of its obligation (including any nonparticipating costs
for FA projects) in a lump sum, upon completion of the project based upon final
costs.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DUPAGE,
ILLINOIS, on this 23rd day of November , 1998.

specified work. The Village's cost shall be determined by multiplying the final quantities

aforedescribed signals.
