A RESOLUTION REQUESTING A TRANSFER OF
COMMUNITY BLOCK GRANT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont administers several Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) programs to bring the Village into compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
requirements in accordance with the rules and regulations as set forth by the Department of Housing
and Urban Development and the County of Cook, Department of Planning and Development; and
WHEREAS, a total of $19,450.00 in Project 96 -043 was granted to the Village for
handicapped space signage and striping in public parking lots; and
WHEREAS, all Village public parking spaces are now ADA compliant; and
WHEREAS, the Village continues to construct sidewalk ramps in accordance with CDBG
project 95 -045; and
WHEREAS, additional funds in Project 95 -045 would allow the Village to construct more
sidewalk ramps throughout the Village.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Lemont, Counties of Cook, DuPage and Will, State of Illinois, to request Cook County
transfer the balance of $19,450.00 in Project 96 -043 to Project 95 -045.
