A RESOLUTION ENDORSING FINANCIAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION AS THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT APPLICANT
AND ADMINISTRATOR OF ALL SINGLE FAMILY REHABILITATION FOR THE
VILLAGE OF LEMONT
WHEREAS, Financial Community Development Corporation ( "FCDC "), an Illinois not -for-
profit Corporation, through its Board of Directors, has requested that the Village Board of Lemont
support a 1998 Community Development Block Grant ( "CDBG ") application requesting single family
rehabilitation funds in accordance with the rules and regulations as set forth by the Department of
Housing and Urban Development And the County of Cook, Department of Planning and
Development; and
WHEREAS, such Village endorsement is required prior to the filing of said application with
the County of Cook.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Lemont, Counties of Cook, DuPage and Will, State of Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1: That the preambles of this Resolution are incorporated herein by reference as
if fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2: That the Village finds that the Department of Housing and Urban Development
Single Family Rehabilitation program available to certain municipalities who meet the criteria
of the application as administered by the County of Cook, is necessary for the rehabilitation
of certain qualified property within the Village of Lemont and is vital for the continuing
improvement and development of specific properties within the Village of Lemont.
SECTION 3: That in order to facilitate "CDBG" single family rehabilitation program to the
citizens of the Village of Lemont, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Lemont have determined that it is in the best interest of the Village to support and endorse
"FCDC" for the purpose of preparing, presenting and administering the aforementioned
application on behalf of the Village.
SECTION 4: That as part of this endorsement, the Village requests the County of Cook
transfer to "FCDC" existing single family block grant funds in the amount of $75,000.00 for
Grant Number 94 -039, and $134,927.24 for Grant Number 93 -044, leaving a balance of
$2,520.00 in Grant Number 93 -044.
SECTION 5: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect for HUD fiscal year 1998
from and after its passage and approval as required by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DuPAGE, ILLINOIS, on this
