RESOLUTION APPROVING VILLAGE PARTICIPATION IN DOWNTOWN SIGNAGE
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont has adopted Ordinance 885, Facade Improvement Program, Sign
Improvement Program and Low Interest Loan Program to provide incentives for business improvement
within the Village's Tax Increment Financing District; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Downtown Private Signage Improvement Grant Program, the
Village Board of Trustees shall consider participation in signage improvements; and
WHEREAS, Steve Mlekowski, as the property owner and Leonas Narbutis as leasee of
the property known as 216 Main Street, Lemont, Illinois, has completed the Private Signage Improvement
Grant Program application for Village participation of said property; and
WHEREAS, Village Staff has reviewed the 216 Main Street, Lemont, IL application for compliance
with the Private Signage Improvement Grant Agreement Program Guidelines and has recommended
approval of the request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village President is authorized to execute
the Private Signage Improvement Grant Agreement, attached, in accordance with the terms of the Private
Signage Improvement Grant Program guidelines.

A RESOLUTION APPROVING ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
OF ASPI SUBDIVISION (Jewel/Osco)
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont has adopted Ordinance 456, the Subdivision Regulations of
the Municipal Code, to provide for the orderly growth of the Village and those territories within one and
one half miles of the corporate limits; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section X of the Subdivision Control Ordinance, the Village
Board of Trustees shall consider requests to accept public improvements upon completion of same; and
WHEREAS, Theresa Pelletier of American Stores Properites, Inc., as the developer of property
known as ASPI, has submitted a bill of sale and has petitioned the Village for acceptance of the public
improvements in said subdivision; and
WHEREAS, Village Staff and Village Engineer have reviewed ASPI Subdivision improvements
for compliance with approved plans and the Lemont Subdivision Control Ordinance and recommended
approval of the request; and
WHEREAS, the Village will release all securities held to guarantee the public improvements since
they have been found to be satisfactory excepting a 5% maintenance bond.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village of Lemont President and Board of
Trustees hereby accept ASPI Subdivision in accordance with the terms of the Lemont Subdivision Control
Ordinance.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, DuPAGE AND WILL, ILLINOIS, on this 27th day
of April 1998.
