RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO
DESIGN ELECTRICAL SERVICES IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
STATE STREET WELL NO.3 MOTOR CONTROL CENTER REPLACEMENT
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont requires maintenance improvements be made to the State
Street Well No. 3 motor controls; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont seeks to utilize the firm of Design Electrical Services; Inc.,
and
WHEREAS, Design Electrical Services, Inc. has submitted a low bid for such work in the
amount of $48,700.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees that the
Contract with Design Electrical Services Inc. is hereby approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DUPAGE,
ILLINOIS, on this 22nd day of January , 2001.

On all projects constructed under the "Standard Specifications For Road and
Bridge Construction" or "Standard Specifications For Sewer and Water Main
Construction ", the following bid security will be submitted (except on Special

Dear Steve:
Enclosed is a copy of the "Tabulation of Bids" for the bids that were received
and opened for the above - captioned project today.
One (1) bid was received and was found to be without error. The low bidder
was Design Electrical Services, Inc., submitting a bid in the amount of $48,700.00,
which was $1,300.00 (2.60 %) below the Engineer's Estimate of $50,000.00.
We have checked references of Design Electrical Services, Inc., and they
appear to be qualified to do this type of work. We, therefore, recommend that the
Contract be awarded to Design Electrical Services, Inc., in the amount of
$48,700.00.
