RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF ENGINEERING
AMENDMENT NO. 1 WITH CIVILTECH ENGINEERING, INC.
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE WARNER AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION
AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont requires engineering services related to the Warner Avenue
Reconstruction and Utility Improvements project; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont has previously awarded a contract with the firm of
Civiltech Engineering, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the Village and Civiltech Engineering, Inc. have agreed to the terms and
conditions of the extra services provided.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees that the
revised agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A is hereby approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DUPAGE,

Subj: Supplement to Agreement for Professional Engineering Services
Resident Engineering
Warner Avenue Reconstruction Improvement
Dear Mr. May:
With our invoice dated November 30, 2000 we have reached our original "not to exceed fee" of
$46,809 for the Warner Avenue Improvement. As we discussed previously, we are continuing to
work on this contract with the understanding that a supplemental agreement will be processed. The
original contract provided for a summer intern / coop student to perform full time inspection. under
the direction of our resident engineer working on the Canal Street Improvement, from mid - May
through September. Due to the complexity and extended duration of the Warner Avenue
Improvement we have continued to provide full time resident engineering with Jeff Lange who
previously served as resident engineer on Canal Street.
The attached Table 1 was submitted with our original proposal and has been revised to reflect the
additional manhours, direct costs and fee required to complete this contract. The revised total fee for
this contract has been increased to $74,914 based on the additional 528,105 requested. If this meets
with your approval, please execute below and return one copy to us.
