RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO
ARCHON CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
127TH STREET/FOURTH STREET WATER AND SEWER IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont requires water main and sanitary sewer extensions be
made along parts of 127`'' Street and Fourth Street; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont seeks to utilize the firm of Archon Construction
Company, and
WHEREAS, Archon Construction Company has submitted a low bid for such work in the
amount of $92,190.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees that the
Contract with Archon Construction Company is hereby approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DUPAGE,
ILLINOIS, on this 26th day of March , 2001.

.a This bid consisted of two (2) separate projects that were lumped together to achieve
the best possible bid. The 127th Street water main extension project consists of the
O installation of a new 10" water main, from Walter Street easterly to the Taco Bell
•3 Restaurant. This main will complete a total water main loop. The Fourth Street work
consists of the installation of sanitary sewer services and a new water main extension with
❑ services on Fourth Street to provide utility service to three (3) new lots in Imhoffs
> Subdivision, as per previous agreement with the Village.

The combined low bid submitted by Archon Construction Company, in the amount
co of $92,190.00, is $3,438.50 (3.60 %) under the Engineer's Estimate of $95,628.50. We
therefore recommend that the Contract be awarded to the Archon Construction
Company, 563 South Route 53, Addison, IL 60101, in the amount of $92,190.00, based
upon the unit prices submitted in their Proposal.
