Buschman, Chairman November 22, 2002 Mr. Martin Tomczak 309 Canal Street Lemont, IL 60439 Historic Preservation Commission 418 Main Street Lemont, IL 60439 630- 257 -1590 RE: Certificate of Appropriateness Front Facade Repair, Window Alteration & Stain. Dear Mr. Tomczak: The Historic Preservation Commission met on November 14 and 20 to review your application for repairs, window alterations, replacement of siding and stain on the front facade of your building. The Commission generally endorsed the proposed alterations to the front of the building and would issue a Certificate of Appropriateness with one recommendation: You have applied for TIF grant funding to complete the project. The Commission strongly recommends that you amend your certificate application and your grant application to request the maximum amount ($ 10,000) and incorporate replacement of the deteriorated asphalt siding on the east side of the building into your proposed project. Please contact Michael Bogert, Economic Development Coordinator (257 -6440) or Tim Teddy, Community Development Director (257 -1595) to discuss this option. Sincerely, Barbara A. Buschman, Chairman
