RESOLUTION APPROVING
EXTENSION OF CONTRACT FOR REFUSE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL,
RECYCLABLE COLLECTION AND LANDSCAPE WASTE COLLECTION
WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont seeks to extend a Contract for Refuse Collection and
Disposal, Recyclable Collection and Landscape Waste Collection with Citiwaste, Inc., a division of
Allied Waste Industries, Inc. until April 30, 2002; and
WHEREAS, an Extension of Contract, attached hereto as EXHIBIT A has been duly
prepared and agreed to by the Village of Lemont and Citiwaste, Inc..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Extension of Contract for Refuse
Collection and Disposal, Recyclable Collection and Landscape Waste Collection attached hereto as
Exhibit A is hereby approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL & DU PAGE, ILLINOIS, on this
28th day of January, 2002.

EXTENSION OF CONTRACT FOR REFUSE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL,
RECYCLABLE COLLECTION AND LANDSCAPE WASTE COLLECTION
WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont (VILLAGE) and Citiwaste, Inc., a division of Allied Waste
Industries, Inc. (CONTRACTOR) are parties to a contract for Refuse Collection and Disposal,
Recyclable Collection and Landscape Waste Collection (CONTRACT); and
WHEREAS, theVILLAGE has decided to solicit bids from qualified vendors for the future
collection of refuse, landscape waste and recyclable material; and
WHEREAS, the VILLAGE does not have adequate time to properly solicit such bids before the
expiration date of the CONTRACT and has requested that the CONTRACTOR continue to provide
services under the CONTRACT through April 30, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the CONTRACTOR has agreed to do so.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually understood and agreed between the VILLAGE and
CONTRACTOR that the CONTRACT is extended in all respects through April 30, 2002.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have entered into this Extension by action of their respective
Boards this 28th day of January , 2002.
