RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO
RICCIO CONSTRUCTION CORP. IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
EUREKA AVENUE SANITARY RELIEF SEWER PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont requires repairs to the Village sanitary sewer system; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont seeks to utilize the construction firm of Riccio
Construction Corp.; and
WHEREAS, Riccio Construction Corp. has submitted a low bid for such work in the amount
of $28,880.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees that the
Contract with of Riccio Construction Corp. is hereby approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DUPAGE,
ILLINOIS, on this 21St day of October , 2002.

Listed below and on the attached "Bid Tabulation", please find the results of the bid
opening for the above - captioned project, as bid on September 17, 2002 @ 10:00 am.
Three (3) bids were received and tabulated, with no errors being found.
Riccio Construction Corp $ 28,880.00
Swallow Construction 34,371.00
Unique Plumbing Company 46,010.00
Engineer's Estimate $ 19,012.00
The low bid submitted by Riccio Construction Corp., in the amount of $28,880.00, is
above the Engineer's Estimate, but still below the project budget of $30,000.00.
Apparently, the difficulty of accessing equipment and materials into this ravine site raised
the level of project difficulty above the cost. I do not feel, however, that we would procure
a better price, if we rebid this project.. Since Riccio Construction Corp. is qualified to
perform this type of work, we therefore recommend that the Contract be awarded to the
Riccio Construction Corp., P.O. Box 672, Palos Park, Illinois, 60464 in the amount of
$28,880.00.
