RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT
FOR ILLINOIS STREET WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT — PHASE 3
(STEPHEN STREET TO FREMONT STREET)
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont requires that the Illinois Street Water Main Replacement
— Phase 3 (Stephen Street to Fremont Street) be completed; and
WHEREAS, the Village seeks to utilize the construction firm of Riccio Construction
Corporation for such work; and
WHEREAS, Riccio Construction Corporation submitted a low bid for such work in the
amount of $176,594.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees that the
Contract with Riccio Construction Corporation is hereby approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DuPAGE, ILLINOIS, on this-9th day
of April, 2007.

opening for the above - captioned project. Seven (7) were received and tabulated, with errors being
found in one bid, which did not affect the bid order.

The low bid submitted by Riccio Construction Corporation, in the amount of $176,594.00, is
$12,325.80 (7.50 %) above the Engineer's Estimate of $164,268.00. Since Riccio Construction
Corporation is qualified to perform this type of work, we therefore recommend that the Contract be
awarded to Riccio Construction Corporation, P.O. Box 672, Palos Park, IL 60464, in the amount of
$176,594.00.
