RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE BOARD
AUTHORIZING, SUPPORTING AND APPROVING ITEP GRANT APPLICATION
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont has sponsored preparation of a grant application to secure funding for
the proposed project titled "131St Street & Derby Road Bike Path ", and
WHEREAS, the Lemont Village Board finds that it is for and in the best interests of the Village of Lemont
that said project proceeds and that application for said Grant be made; and
WHEREAS, the Lemont Village Board has examined said application and finds that it is for and in the
best interests of the Village of Lemont to submit the same to the proper governmental authority for the
appropriate processing and action to the end that said application be approved and said grant received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Board of the Village of Lemont, Cook, Will, and
DuPage Counties, as follows:
SECTION 1: The preamble to this resolution is hereby adopted as findings by this Village Board.
SECTION 2: The Village Board hereby approves and supports the ITEP Grant Application for the
project titled "131St Street & Derby Road Bike Path ".
SECTION 3: The President and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
application on behalf of the Village.
SECTION 4: The President, Village Clerk, Village Administrator, and all other appropriate Village
officials be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute any and all appropriate documents and to take
any and all appropriate actions on behalf of the Village to expedite and assist the processing and successful
approval of said application.
SECTION 5: All resolutions or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption as provided
by law.
