RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT
FOR WEST SHORE PIPELINE WATER MAIN EXTENSION — PHASE 1
East of Dunmoor Drive to West Shore Pipeline Site
WHEREAS, the Village of Lemont requires that the Water Main Extension — Phase I Project be
completed and paid for by the West Shore Pipeline Company; and
WHEREAS, the Village seeks to utilize the construction firm of L.A. Sites Sewer & Water for such
work; and
WHEREAS, L.A. Sites Sewer & Water submitted a low bid for such work in the amount of
$83,669.27.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees that the Contract
with L.A. Sites Sewer & Water is hereby approved.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT,
COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL AND DuPAGE, ILLINOIS, on this 14th day of December, 2009.

tabulated, with errors being found in one, which did not affect the order of the bids.

The low bid submitted by L.A. Sites Sewer & Water, in the amount of $83,669.27, is $54,095.73
(39.27 %) below the Engineer's Estimate of $137,095.73. Since L.A. Sites Sewer & Water is qualified to
perform this type of work, we therefore recommend that the Contract be awarded to L.A. Sites Sewer &
Water, P.O. Box 820, 19529 Hunter Trail, Mokena, IL 60448, in the amount of $83,669.27, upon
approval of West Shore Pipeline financing arrangements and procurement of the ComEd license
agreement; hopefully, in time for the December 14, 2009 Village Board meeting.
