SUMMARY/BACKGROUND
As part of the multi -year capital plan, the Public Works Department is requesting approval to
purchase Three (3) 2024 Ford F250 Trucks. Staff was able to obtain Government pricing from
Willowbrook Ford Inc., which matched the bid pricing available through the Suburban
Purchasing Cooperative. The price is $52,396.03 per truck or a total of $157,188.09.
Additional trade-in vehicles will be identified closer to the delivery date. Two vehicles are
budgeted in FY24. The third is proposed in the FY25 Capital Equipment Plan; Finance has
recommended the purchase this Fiscal Year.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ORDER AND PURCHASE OF THREE (3) FORD
F250 TRUCKS
WHEREAS the Village of Lemont ("Village") is an Illinois Municipal Corporation
pursuant to the Illinois Constitution of 1970 and the Statutes of the State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, Village staff obtained a quote for the necessary equipment from
Willowbrook Ford Inc., 7301 S Kingery Highway, Willowbrook IL 60521. The Village has
purchased vehicles from Willowbrook Ford, Inc., in the past, and as they have offered the same
governmental price as an otherwise municipal bid price to the Village; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary for the Village to replace and upgrade certain
vehicles for the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, Section 5/8-9-1 of the Illinois Municipal Code (65ILCS 5/8-9-1) allows the
Board of Trustees of the Village ("Village Board"), upon a vote of two-thirds of the trustees then
holding office, to waive the requirement of competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the price quotes submitted, the President and Village Board
have determined that it is advisable, necessary, and in the best interests of the Village to accept
the quote submitted by Willowbrook Ford, Inc. attached hereto as Exhibit A for three (3) 2024
Ford F250 Trucks at a price not to exceed $157,188.09; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Lemont, Counties of Cook, Will and DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1:
The Foregoing findings and recitals are hereby adopted as section One of this Resolution
and are incorporated by reference as if set forth verbatim herein.
SECTION 2:
The Village Board hereby accepts the low bid to purchase three (3) 2024 Ford F250
Trucks and accepts the quote from Willowbrook Ford, Inc. for the purchase of necessary
equipment at a price not to exceed $157,188.09.
SECTION 3:
The Village President, Village Administrator, or his Designee is also hereby authorized to make
payment to Willowbrook Ford, Inc., upon delivery of the ordered vehicles, in an amount not to
exceed $157,188.09, and to take any other steps necessary to carry out this Resolution.
SECTION 4:
This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as
provided by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF LEMONT, COUNTIES OF COOK, WILL, AND DUPAGE, ILLINOIS,
